Having a baby is one of the best times of your life! However, this time comes with many different feelings, concerns, and questions. I am here to help guide you to your better birth experience. You and your partner will learn how to educate yourselves, advocate for yourselves and your baby, and have a feeling of empowerment.

Once hired, we will have two prenatal meetings in your home. We will go over contracts, comfort measures, your birth plan, any questions or concerns you may have, and my customized Family Care and Comfort Evaluation. I always like to take a basic tour of your house, that way I know where things are when you are in the throes of laborland. Older children and pets are welcome, it is their house too! You will have 24 hour email support from then on, in addition to daytime phone and text support. I also offer a lending library of various birth, postpartum, breastfeeding and baby related books and dvds. 

Once you reach 38 weeks, I will be “on-call” for your birth and available by phone for 24 hour support.

Once you are in labor, I will come to you whenever you are ready for me to join you. I will stay for the duration of the birth, and then an hour postpartum until everyone is settled.

One postpartum visit will entail breastfeeding support, processing your baby’s birth, maternal mental health check in, Babywearing Education, baby care tips, and any additional support you or your family may need.
